I want to take up premed but…?

I want to take up anything that will connect to pre-med but its not on the list. what do i take up in this list that leads to pre-med studies.

You can major in anything to be pre-med. Most medical schools only require you to take 4 classes. These are a year of introductory biology with lab, a year of general (or inorganic) chemistry with lab, a year of organic chemistry with lab, and a year of physics with lab. Some require a year of mathematics, like Calculus or statistics. The best advice is to do a major you are interested in. If your passion is biology or chemistry, go for it. But if you believe that you will have enough of that during medical school, you can major in women’s studies or philosophy. Keep in mind that most medical schools take your science GPA into consideration. Obviously, if you choose to major in the sciences, your GPA will take into account a larger spectrum of science classes. However, people who choose to major in the sciences generally have a lower GPA than those who choose to do something else. This may or may not be taken into consideration. But many medical have actually began to encourage prospective students to major in a non-science. Also, among a listing of majors of students who get into medical school, it was found that students majoring the humanities or social science have the highest admittance while those who major in something oriented towards a specific health or science related career like nursing or pharmacy have the lowest admission rate.
